How your LPC Levy is calculated
The list below details the sections included in the Levy Calculation. For your pharmacy the total turnover attributed to these columns is used to calculate your monthly contribution to Avon LPC.
Worked examples (all figures are fictitious to enable the examples to work)
Option 1:
- Your turnover for the month (only you see) = £80,000
- The total turnover of all the pharmacies in Avon (which the LPC doesn’t see) = £17,600,000
- Your percentage turnover = 0.4545%
- The LPC monthly levy is £17,500 per month and your contribution is 0.4545% = pharmacy contribution of £79.55
Option 2:
- Your turnover for the month (only you see) = £80,000
- The total turnover of all the pharmacies in Avon (which the LPC doesn’t see) = £20,000,000
- Your percentage turnover = 0.4000%
- The LPC monthly levy is £17,500 per month and your contribution is 0.4000% = pharmacy contribution of £70.00
Option 3:
- Your turnover for the month (only you see) = £70,000
- The total turnover of all the pharmacies in Avon (which the LPC doesn’t see) = £17,600,000
- Your percentage turnover = 0.3977%
- The LPC monthly levy is £17,500 per month and your contribution is 0.3977% = pharmacy contribution of £69.60
